Film Producer

Emma produced and cast short film THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU that won Third Prize at Tropfest 2018, five of the seven Tropfest Craft Awards, Best Film at Port Shorts Film Festival 2018, made Director’s Top Ten Pick’s at Encounter’s Short Film Festival (UK) 2018, Best Short at Peninsula Film Festival 2019, and featured at Glasgow Film Festival 2019. She was also third assistant director on Jordan Giusti’s short, GREVILLEA starring Lucas Pittaway that premiered at the 2020 Berlinale.

Suzuki Teacher: Integrated Actor Training

Emma has over 25 years experience in the Suzuki Method of Actor Training and has adapted it into her INTEGRATED ACTOR TRAINING approach to encourage more natural alignments of the body, focusing on safe technique and longevity of practice.

 

She trained for ten years with Frank Theatre under John Nobbs and Jacqui Carroll as well as masterclasses with Okubo Noriaki (Suzuki Company of Toga), Ichiro Nakayama (SCOT) and Ellen Lauren (SITI).

​

Emma is a core faculty member at 16TH STREET ACTORS STUDIO, and also teaches at THE NATIONAL THEATRE.

​

She has been an industry guest at Howard Fine Acting Studio Australia, Film & Television Studio International, and NICA.

Company Director: The Brides of Frank

THE BRIDES OF FRANK theatre ensemble were one of Queensland's foremost independent theatre companies and cultural exports throughout the 2000s.

 

The Brides were Caroline Dunphy, Lisa O'Neill, Emma Louise Pursey, Leah Shelton and Neridah Waters. Collectively they created a new genre of satirical theatre: precision camp.
